November 11

We went to Gampela to complete our projects. The electrical project was done and the computer training was successful. They learned a lot and ended their education with games of computer pinball.

The girls finished with any medical follow up required from the day before. We also did the urine tests. We learned that there had been a miscommunication between David and Soumayila and rather than saving urine samples, they saved stool samples. The phrase TIA seemed appropriate - This is Africa! A few urine samples did come through anyway and the girls also enjoyed a scarf-tying demonstration.

Deb and Terry sorted and organized the items in the second storage room.

The team met with our host for our final lunch together.

After we got back to our compound, we went for another swim at the International School of Ouagadougou (ISO). When it is 38 degrees Celsius, the swim is very refreshing. We also met the school mascot, a tortoise, as he sauntered by.

In the evening we were invited for dinner with Mark and Cheryl Gibson. They are from England and have three children. They have been missionaries with SIM for 11 years. They were very gracious hosts, and after the meal, we all shared stories about highlights of the week.

This picture was taken today at the Fulani Bible School. I had to post this picture of me and my husband Terry just cuz I really liked it.
