November 12
Saturday and we got to sleep in - yah!! After a slow morning, we went to the artisan market. Wow! Wow! What an experience! It was a beautiful courtyard filled with all kinds of shops selling all kinds of wares. A woman's paradise! It was filled with many unique and beautiful items that were all handmade and some on site. We all came home with a few treasures with the women vowing to go back for another visit.

In the afternoon we went to the ISO pool for another swim and held a dive and swim competition for those interested. Each time we have visited we have had the pool to ourselves. When we returned this time, we went through the grounds rather than walking around on the street. The grounds were very lush and beautiful.

We were honoured to have supper brought over by the Beogo family. There were 15 that attended. This is the family that has been very close with Mary's family since she was born. It was a lovely meal with great fellowship and many attempts were successful to break the language barrier. The Ruten family made a donation to the Beogo Foundation that was recently created in honour of their parents. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide bible camps for children in the Diapaga area. Diapaga is 35 km from Mahadaga (where we will visit next week) in the east corner of Burkina Faso. Below are pictures of the families and individuals that joined us.
