November 5
We arrived here after 24 hours of airports and flights. We are all very tired as it is difficult to sleep on an airplane crammed with people, but on the positive side, we were served excellent food and had opportunity to bond as a team.
The team in Brussels, Belgium

I noticed as we were coming in to land in Ouagadougou that the earth is red, there are no tall buildings like in other cities with a population of 2.5 million and the homes are smaller. The temperature when we arrived was 35 degrees Celsuis or 95 Farenheit.

We were all very happy to arrive and also glad to know that we each had air conditioning in our bedrooms. Yes, a good night's sleep at last!

Loading up all 14 bags!
We are staying at the SIM (Serving in Mission) Compound for the first 12 days or so and each have our own bedroom and bathroom with a common kitchen area. The Compound also has a really nice outdoor terrace area. Dave and Marianne's home is right next door to us (Andrew's parents and our hosts). Both areas are secured behind a wall with locking gates.
